BOGOYAVLENSKY SPRING

The powerful spring of clear and cold water named by the Prince Potyomkin as Bogoyavlensky considered to be a true miracle among the burned down southern steppes. The spring water has always been sacred with all the people who lived and roamed from place to place on this land. It has not only slaked the thirst of the people and animals but also healed. In the beginning of XIII century the Glorious Maiden Orthodox Monastery was established, in future it had been destroyed by the Chingiskhan descendants.

The curative abilities of the water that welled up as the powerful stream from under the ground called out the admiration of Prince. There was no other explanation except the God sign. The spring was considered to be sacred one. This place was indicated as the summer residence of the Prince Potyomkin. The hospital was built on this land later on due to the curative water power accumulated from rich surviving herbs and minerals.
