Nikolaev, Ukraine. THE CITY'S FOUNDATION.

Nikolaev city was established more than 200 years ago according to the Prince Grigory Rasputin's Order. The picturesque streets are situated in geometric proportions and the land on which the city is situated has never been empty. The accidental finds during the construction works certify the existence of highly developed Greek, Scythians, Sarmat civilizations that had been blossoming on this land. On ancient maps these localities are indicated by place of the cathedrals' concentration. The huge hordes of invaders such as the troops of Persian Tsar David, Alexander Makedonsky, Chingiskhan and Karl XII passed these places.

In summer of 1788 in the mouth of the Bug and Ingul rivers the city was established and the first shipyard laid the foundation. The Order to name the city as Nikolaev was given by the tsarina Catherine II on September 7, 1789.

Nowadays there are more than 110 nationalities living in Nikolaev. This is why the South-Ukrainian women, and especially the women from Nikolaev, are so beautiful!
